What is Wellthy?

WELLTH = Living a full life of Health + Wellness.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said "The first wealth is health." He realized that the key to prosperity wasn't actually in your bank account, but in the condition of your mind, body and soul. Unfortunately, it is contrary to how many of us conduct our modern lives. Neglecting sleep, not taking the time to eat properly, and enduring endless stress from career'ing, Mom'ing, and/or life'ing, are all too common. We need to get back to Wellth. But Wellth isn't a one shot deal. Wellth is a journey that lasts our entire lifetimes. It is making your health and wellness a top priority so you can live more joyfully, lighter and freer.

That said, Wellth is a very personal and individual thing. We are all so completely different. What works for one of us, will not work for all of us. What works for our friends or siblings or spouses, might wreak havoc on our own systems. Of course, we all could use more and better sleep, more water, and less processed foods and chemicals. But, everything else is down to what I call BYOD -- Being your own detective. You need to listen and learn from YOUR body so you know what foods, what amounts/types of exercise suit you and what supplements work best for you. You need to find your own best way to reduce stress - whether it be meditation, walking in nature or a gratitude practice. And you need to find what brings you joy and fills your soul, and do it more. I can be your tour guide but ultimately, you are the one in charge of your journey to WELLTH…

Who is Casey?

Casey McElligott is an AADP Certified Health Coach, public speaker, and leading expert in holistic health and nutrition. Through her coaching practice, she is able to help clients get what she calls "Wellthy" (wellness + health = Wellth) with her straightforward, yet supportive style.

Casey’s holistic approach to health and wellness focuses on not only food, but on all areas of life including stress, sleep, and emotions, and the effect those have on how we fuel our bodies and minds. As a former serial dieter herself, Casey struggled with bulimia, being overweight, and poor body image her entire life. She finally got off the roller coaster when she decided to be her own detective and work towards healing herself from infertility and autoimmune disease.

She enrolled in Keri Glassman's Nutritious Life Studio and gained extensive knowledge of nutrition without fad diets and quick fixes. From there, Casey was able to channel her passion for food and cooking into healthy sustenance and lifestyle tools that have helped her and others gain a new perspective on food as fuel. She subscribes to Michael Pollan's words, "Eat real food. Not too much. Mostly plants."

Casey has spoken at various events, including The WeForum Women's Wellness Conference in NJ. She also speaks at various women's nights' out, corporate offices and fitness events. She has also guided companies to optimize the health of their employees and customers.

Casey currently lives in Chatham, NJ with her husband and three kids. She is a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) and enjoys traveling, cooking (she can help you with that too!) outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing, and concerts.
